About
Dr. Pattni qualified from University College London in 1999 and completed his medical training in London, with brief spells in Cambridge and Perth, Australia. He completed his gastroenterology training in London in 2013, having worked at Imperial College Hospitals and St Mark's Hospital — internationally recognised for its expertise in endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, and functional bowel disorders. He completed his Research MD in 2012 at Hammersmith Hospital, London, in bile acid malabsorption, with numerous publications.
From 2013, Dr. Pattni continued as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at University Hospitals of Leicester. He has specialist interests in small bowel diseases, chronic diarrhoea, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), running specialist clinics in adolescent IBD. He is an advanced colonoscopist for the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme, serves as medical advisor to East Midlands Crohn's and Colitis UK, and has run many patient-centred seminars. Having served as IBD lead at UHL, he is now Head of Endoscopy Services — continuing his research interests and working to establish a small bowel endoscopy service.
At Spire Leicester Hospital, Dr. Pattni benefits from excellent diagnostic facilities with expert gastrointestinal radiologists and pathologists, up-to-date endoscopy services accommodating procedures with sedation or under general anaesthetic, and a comfortable, tranquil outpatient setting for personal and in-depth consultations.
